The yoga mat is not indispensable in the practice of yoga. • The yoga mat is designed to practice asanas or physical exercises as good and safe as possible
• The yoga mat makes sure to get a proper grip with the ground
• The mat should be slip resistant so as not to slip your feet or hands and body parts can remain in the correct position
• Also of comfortable, cushioning and hygiene play an important role
• It is pleasant to stand on a yoga mat, then sit and lie on a different surface
• The yoga mat also improves the flow of blood, because there is a more even pressure distribution at the interface.

What thickness should have a yoga mat?

• The most common thicknesses of which yoga mats offered are: 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mm. The choice of the thickness of a yoga mat is dependent upon a number of factors:
• What you find most comfortable emotionally
• How much money you want to spend on the yoga mat
• The mat being used in the same place or it is taken to as the yoga studio or moved
• Is there enough storage space available
• The intensity of use
• And the physique of the yoga practitioner.

Are there differences in size?

Worldwide, the yoga mat has the standard dimensions: 183 x 60 cm. This format is suitable for most yogis to perform the exercises properly. As you know, people are getting longer, especially the Nordic people, so there are now yoga mats are available that have a dimension of 200 x 80 cm. This width creates more rehearsal room. In the yoga mat on the roller (length 30 meters) you can determine the length of the yoga mat.

Why yoga mats have different colors?

Yoga mats meet stringent Oeko-Tex quality mark and have 100 P.2 certificate and thus comply with the additives according to the European directives. The mats are tested for intensive use, AZO free, washable, good grip, and a responsible life. 

How to make a yoga mat clean?

The yoga mats usually can be washed in the washing machine, to a maximum of 30 degrees, while using little detergent. Note: do not spin webs (or dryer). In order to dry the mat simply ignore this plane. The alternative is to roll the mat in a towel, in order to speed up the drying process. Please note that wet or damp mats can be slippery. To optimize the anti-slip we recommend for the first time to take the mat with a warm damp cloth and wipe dry with a towel.
