Each trigram trigram consists of a combination of three horizontal, superposed lines. The lines can be Yin or Yang. A solid line is a (male) Yang-line; a line interrupted in the middle (female) Yin line. The trigrams Hexagrams can be compiled. The Book of Changes has 64 hexagrams. Each hexagram represents a phase in nature. Each of these hexagons is composed of two trigrams. The build-up always takes place from bottom to top. At the beginning is the hexagram 1, the Creative. This is composed of a repeated trigram sky. The Creative is Yang, male. Hexagram 2: the recipient, receives the foregoing, and is composed of a repeated trigram earth. The recipient is Yin, feminine. As mentioned, there are 64 hexagrams. Ying Enyang Nothing in the universe is completely or fully ying yang. When you draw a vertical line through the circle of the Ying Yang-symbol, it will be seen that, in the one value to the other is also present (the semi-circle).
